About

Jared Speight is an Instructional Design Specialist on Mayo Clinic's Revenue Cycle Education and Continuous Improvement team where he has been awarded the academic rank of Instructor of Health Care Administration and recognized as a Silver Mayo Quality Fellow by Mayo Clinic's College of Medicine and Science.

He holds a master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the American College of Education and is certified as a Section 508 Trusted Tester and Project Management Professional (PMP).

When he’s not designing accessible learning experiences, Jared can be found losing to his daughter in an assortment of card games, reading fantasy novels with his son, spoiling television show plot lines for his wife, or playing Pokémon Go.

My Mission

To support others so that, together, we can create a more inclusive, equitable, and just world.

As an instructional designer, this means creating instructional experiences that center the learners’ needs, utilizing evidence-based universal design practices that support all learners, and ensuring that instructional courses and videos reflect the diversity of the learners. If you’re a learning and development professional, I invite you to join in this effort by signing and upholding the Inclusive Learning Pledge.
